The enrollment period has begun both for Camp Mighty Mind and Camp Angelfish. If you haven’t already, check out this great introduction of Camp Mighty Mind, our 3-week fun-filled movement- and activity-based day camp program that your kids will love …

2011 Camp Angelfish Recap

Our 8th year of Camp Angelfish was more intimate than we’ve seen in the past, with a smaller group of campers this year (due to scheduling issues).  There were a lot of new campers from Connecticut and Massachusetts who had the opportunity to try a sleep-away camp experience for the first time.  As usual, we all enjoyed fishing, tubing, kayaking, canoeing, arts and crafts, live entertainment, aqua glide, Bingo, and much more.

Held at the beautiful facilities of Lake Winnipesaukee, Camp Angelfish lasted 6 days and 5 nights.  Children got to sleep in cabins and experience a typical sleep-away camp (with assistance) and be as independent as possible.

Gearing Up for Camp Mighty Mind

We are gearing up for Camp Mighty Mind.  In order to objectively notice areas of improvement of your child, please take note of the following prior to the first day of camp:

  • Ability to follow multi-step directions without reminders
  • Awareness of body movements: uncoordinated, bumping into things or falling
  • Ability to talk while performing a motor skill like jumping and counting
  • Automatically cross their hand passed the middle of body during daily tasks
  • Ability to start and stop their body in an efficient manner
  • Observe your child running, skipping, dancing and galloping using both sides of their body.
  • Ability to draw a person with all body parts, write and draw a picture
  • Lastly, does your child say “what” frequently when you talk to him

Please jot down a few notes about the above finding prior to coming to camp and review them after camp and again in September to compare.
