Question: Does Aquatic Therapy Actually Work?

Answer:

Aquatic Therapy takes place in the water, which is a combination of OT and PT, muscle strengthening, coordination, motor planning, endurance, body awareness and sensory integration. Just read some of the Success Stories from types of patients.

Question: Where Do You Perform Aquatic Therapy?

Answer:

We perform Aquatic Therapy at pools that we have agreements with in the Westchester and Fairfield county area. To see a list of locations that may be convenient to you please go to our Locations page.

Question: When Do You Hold Private/Semi-Private or Group Lessons?

Answer:

We perform therapy all week long but in various locations and times. Please check out our Locations page for a location and day that may work for you. If you are interested, please Contact Us and we can try to find an opening.

Question: How Much Does Aquatic Therapy Cost?

Answer:

The fee for an evaluation is $200.00 and $120.00 for an individual treatment which typically lasts 45 minutes. Group and semi-private lessons are a little less.

Question: Is Aquatic Therapy Covered Under Health Insurance?

Answer:

We are an out of network provider and bill the services as out patient as Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy depending on which therapist does the treatment. Please check with your insurance provider to see what is covered. The billing code for individual therapy is 97113.

Question: What Types of Instructor Training Do You Offer?

Answer:

We offer a few different types. Totally Treatment is a 2-day workshop that takes place a few times a year. We also have a few different DVD’s for purchase and offer mentoring capabilities. Take a look at our Training Options.

Question: What is Camp Angelfish?

Answer:

Camp Angelfish is an overnight camp for 3 different types of children. We rent the beautiful facilities on Lake Winnepesaukee and provide traditional camp experiences under the guidance of Co-directors who are occupational and physical therapists. Find out more and sign up here.

While it is difficult to answer all questions over the phone or email, it does help us to get to know what types of concerns you have regarding your child. If you fill out our evaluation form, this will expedite the response and provide a better understanding of what you may need.
