With the success of the April course, Angelfish Therapy will be adding another this fall – Totally Treatment: An Innovative Approach to Pediatric Aquatic Therapy.    Dates are to be determine but the timing looks to be in October.

This two day workshop is instructed by an OT and PT team and is designed for therapists working in pediatric aquatics.  You will learn effective techniques by using a hands on approach with Angelfish Therapy clientèle.

It will be held on Oct 1^st and 2^nd (Fri and Sat) at the Crown Plaza Hotel at 66 Hale Ave. in White Plains, NY

Camp Angelfish is an overnight camp for 3 different types of children. We rent the beautiful facilities on Lake Winnepesaukee and provide traditional camp experiences under the guidance of Co-directors who are occupational and physical therapists.

We are focusing this month on progressions with our therapist one on one.  Listed below are a few different techniques we use to help with this progressions.

This video demonstrates one on one righting reactions. You will see how the child will work on righting his trunk and work to have reciprocal motion in his leg kicks. All the while responding to his balance.

Working one on one with a child to achieve arm extensions using a flotation device.

Continued work on balancing and extensions in a one on one envrionment.
